Okay, so the picture above is unflattering, blurry and goofy. But do you see the miracle? My daughter, a TEENAGER, for whom Reactive Attachment Disorder has been a major diagnosis, is willingly KISSING me!!!!! It has to be a miracle! And my heart is happy and full on this Saint Patrick’s Day…

What a lovely picture! I’m sure your heart was ready to burst – mine was the first time my little boy told me he loved me (something i never thought he would). Xxx

Lovely lovely lovely 🙂
How gorgeous, so pleased for you. X

Aw…thanks! I did feel very beautiful on the inside!
My cup runs over!! So thankful for your miracle!!!
Wonderful! I taught high school for 32 years and know how special this moment was! Good for you and good for your daughter!
Beautiful photo and great gift to you both!
As a mother, also blessed with a daughter with disabilities, I know this is a miracle. I am so happy for you!
oh what a wonderful treasure– especially to have it captured on camera so you can look at it over and over again! 🙂
I KNOW! How lucky was THAT???
That’s so sweet. 🙂 Very happy for you both.
Gold, pure gold.
This picture is perfect. Absolutely. What a wonderful moment to have captured on film and an incredible moment for the both of you.
Praise the Lord ….hugs
That is wonderful!
Wonderful for you and her. May the blessings continue! Brad
How wonderful!
I love that you are raising five children with disabilities, including psychiatric ones. Your heart is big. It takes a special kind of sensitivity and empathy, that most people in this society who do not themselves have such issues, do not have.
If there’s not a place in heaven for you, then God help the rest of us.
Hi I would like to say that this is amazing and also that i have nominated you for an inspiring blogger award I hope you will accept.
Please look at the rules they are on my blog. Lifes Beginnings.
I truly understand how rewarding these moments can be! Praise God!
What a nice memory to have in picture form!
Happy St Patricks Day from your blogger friend in Ireland! Beautiful photo 🙂
Blurry or not, it’s a great picture!
Beautiful! It seems you’ve found the proverbial “pot of gold” in this wonderful moment.
Precious!!! And what delight that it was “caught” on camera!
What a beautiful scene! Blur and all 😉

Have a great day!
I got a peek at your blog and plan to spend more time reading it. The St. P’s day photo and caption hit me right between the eyes. (not literally of course. 😉 ) I have a little adopted leprechaun too … Oh yes!
Incredible!!! Magical picture and post!! 🙂
Precious! Your daughter is more than any label with which she struggle’s. There will come a day, when it will be said she used to be diagnosed with . . . but she is no more. Yours and your husband’s love is transforming her. This kiss is but one of many rewards that are coming your way! Praise God for his miraculous touch on your daughter’s life!
The photo is simple soft around the edges, not blurry. You and your daughter look perfectly lovely. What a treasure to have something so special immortalized in print. A french proverb says “There are no miracles for those who have no faith in them”. I personally love miracles and this is one of them. God bless you.
I have a story I want to share with you…today one of my mentors told his story to our congregation and I know you’d be blessed by it. Sorry to post this here, but reading your blog reminded me that I wanted to share this story with you. This is the link,( https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=AV4irA-f0jE). Bryon (without me ever knowing his story), taught me that there are no limits to what I could do (the same lesson you teach your children). I hope this blesses you. Let me know if the link works.
Thank you for sharing. Their’s is an amazing story!
I am so glad you watched it. I have never met you, but today as I watched Bryon’s story, I thought about you and the amazing gift you have given your children. God bless you and your family.
Love the picture…the pride in your face says it all 😀
wooo hoooo! See what can happen when Leprechauns are about?!
Times like these are what priceless memories are made of, savor it and tuck it away for those days when you need a reminder that more good things will come with time.
Good advice…I put the picture up on my bedroom mirror!
Such a wonderful picture! And your face is just what I had imagined… Kind and beautiful!
Took your book on my ereader to the hospital and I loved it.My daughter is now reading it. I love that book.Sure made me quit thinking about the knee replacement for a bit. That picture is so adorable too.

Oh, how beautiful! 🙂
So much love in that one picture 🙂 Really beautiful!
So much love in that one photo 🙂 Really beautiful! 🙂
Congratulations…. I understand how long such events take to happen.
My favorite moment in life was one evening when my RADish son said, “I love you” spontaneously. I was so shocked. He’d never said that before. I knew he did but this confirmed it. It gave me confidence that we’d get past his RAD symptoms. That was five years ago and today he takes care of me in my dialysis world.
I absolutely love this photo! It’s amazing what the power of LOVE can accomplish.
That is lovely~

How wonderful for you both!!
Awww, best picture ever in my book!
Nominated your blog for The Liebster Blog Award. Here is the link:

I really appreciate the honor, however I don’t “do” awards. I know that some work on my part is required on my part and I am really quite lazy in writing things other than the posts for this blog. Thank you anyway!
Your welcome and I understand. It is a lot of work. I find your blog to be very inspirational.
Thank you so much! That comment is honor enough….
This is extra special for a special and loving mother who deserves all kinds of praise and hugs. I am sure that it is rare for your daughter but in her head, she may give you them. I am not sure of that disorder but know that you have broken through to her!! Yeah!!
The Reactive Attachment Disorder means that she was so badly neglected as a young child that she had to learn to rely only on herself, not on others. Making emotional connection with others is extremely difficult.
I hope that she WAS giving me kisses in her head, I kind of thought that all along. But this was the first time she actually DID it, which was great!
Thanks for all you share through your blog. I enjoy and appreciate reading it. I wanted to let you know that I have nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award. You can read more about it here: http://thinkingaboutgratitude.wordpress.com/2013/03/20/building-community/
Thank you so much for the award nomination. I prefer not to “do” awards as I have limited time and there is generally a list of things that I would need to do.
I appreciate the thought.
I totally understand. I just wanted to share my appreciation of you blog with you, and with others.
Thank you. I do appreciate the sentiment!
its not blurry…its beautiful! One that should be framed, photo copied and put on the fridge, e-mailed to all friends and family and treasured for ever!
That made my heart sing. I know you will cherish that kiss and that moment forever.
Yes, I will! (And I still smile when I think about it…)
Thank you very much for letting me find you 😀
And I am Very Happy for you!!
May you experience many, many miracles more !!
That’s so great!!
Those kisses are the sweetest. Thank you for sharing
Just wonderful! 🙂
Oh, I know where you’re coming from, having dealt with the same thing. I’m getting hugs and kisses all the time now, and it turned around in almost a day. Prayerfully, this will happen with your daughter now, too. Once they realize what they’ve been missing, it can be addicting.
Thank you for your story…now I have hope!
What a glorious, awesome, wonderful moment.
Hi Linda,
I am so awed by how you embrace life and your children, despite the challenges presented. I have therefore nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award – couldn’t quite find another way to contact you than via this comment. For more info, see my blog & post Turning a New Leaf.
Yahooo! Praise God the restorer of life!
Lovely picture! I commend you as a woman and mother for raising 5 kids with disabilities. I want to run away and hide and I have one very active 4 year old with no disabilities. I don’t know how you do it! There’s a special place in heaven for you!!
This is beautiful! ❤
Thank you!
So beautiful…and well deserved!! Lucky you… ❤
